Fixing Defender Checks from Compliance Audit

Defender-related compliance checks can now be remediated without leaving Augmentt. Open a non-compliant Defender check in Compliance Audit, go to the Configure tab, and you can either deploy a new policy from a recommended template or insert the missing setting into a policy the tenant already has.

Find it at Secure > Security Posture > Compliance Audit, open a Defender check, then Configure.

Why the second option matters more than the first. Defender evaluates policies in a first-match priority order. On a tenant that already has an anti-phishing policy, deploying a brand-new one creates a policy that competes on priority — and it may never take effect, leaving the check non-compliant even though you "fixed" it. Editing the existing policy is usually the correct fix, and it is the option MSPs previously had to leave Augmentt to perform.
