Teams App Setup Policies

An app setup policy controls the Microsoft Teams app layout your customer's users get: which apps are pre-installed, which are pinned to the app bar, and whether users can pin apps of their own.

Augmentt now manages these policies directly. Find them at Secure > Teams > Policies, then select the App setup tile.

Why an MSP cares. App setup policy is the difference between a Teams rollout users adopt and one they ignore. Pinning the apps a customer actually uses — and unpinning the ones they don't — is one of the highest-leverage, lowest-risk changes you can make in a tenant. Standardising it across your customer base is the kind of thing that makes a managed Teams service feel managed.
