Agent Deployment via Ninja RMM

Ninja RMM Deployment

Within Ninja RMM, on the left-hand navigation, click on ‘Configuration,’ then on Scripting:

In the upper right-hand corner, click on ‘Create New Script.’

Paste the below code into the window:

function Augmentt{

mkdir "C:\Augmentt"

if ($env:PROCESSOR_ARCHITEW6432 -eq "AMD64") {

write-warning "Executing your script in 64-bit mode"

if ($myInvocation.Line) {

&"$env:WINDIR\sysnative\windowspowershell\v1.0\powershell.exe" -NonInteractive -NoProfile $myInvocation.Line

&"$env:WINDIR\sysnative\windowspowershell\v1.0\powershell.exe" -NonInteractive -NoProfile -file "$($myInvocation.InvocationName)" $args

exit $lastexitcode

Invoke-WebRequest ‘<Insert URL to download .msi installer Here, Removing Angle Brackets>’-OutFile "C:\Augmentt\DiscoveryAgentSetup.msi"

sleep 10

msiexec /i C:\Augmentt\DiscoveryAgentSetup.msi /quiet /qn 'WRAPPED_ARGUMENTS="/VERYSILENT /SUPPRESSMSGBOXES /extensionKey=<Insert License Key Here, Removing Angle Brackets>"'

rmdir /s C:\Augmentt

A few things of note before continuing:

  • You can download the .msi file from the Augmentt Portal, under Configuration -> Data. On the right-hand side of the screen, there is a download button.
  • The .msi file should be uploaded to cloud storage, to a publicly available link.
  • The URL for the .msi should replace the section in the ‘Invoke-WebRequest’ line, removing the angled brackets.
  • The Augmentt License key should replace the angle bracketed section in the ‘msiexec’ line. The license key for the specific end client can be found within the Augmentt portal under Configuration -> Data. Ensure you copy the key for the desired end client, pasting into the code, removing the angled brackets.

Complete the fields on the right-hand pane as desired – ensuring the Language is set to PowerShell, Operating System is set to Windows, and Architecture is 64-bit.

Click ‘Save’ in the upper right-hand corner.

The script can now be run on your desired device(s), by clicking on the ►icon, selecting Script Library, and clicking on the script we just created. Make sure you are running the script as ‘System’ and click Apply.
